A Few Practical Tips
Here are a few things I recently learned that could be of some value to you.
If you have a contract to submit to Scotiabank (BNS) for funding, they will accept a "void" cheque from the customer that is not personalized (no name or address in the top left corner of the cheque), provided the cheque is from a financial institution other than Coast Capital Savings Credit Union. Scotiabank is able to confirm account holder information by phone with any of the other main banking institutions. Coast Capital Savings Credit Union does not confirm this information.
Regarding a sub-prime loan with HSBC, in order for your customer to be the primary buyer on their contract, they must have a beacon score of at least 500. So, if your customer is approved for sub-prime financing with HSBC and has a beacon score lower than 500, they will have to be a co-buyer on the Conditional Sales Contract.
